Release Request To The Military Attorney General of the State Security Court from Mamoun Kuzbari - 06 June 1962

Release Request
To
The Military Attorney General of the State Security Court
From
Respondent/ Maamun al-Kuzbari, arrested in the case No. 23/1962
Given that I am wholly innocent of the accusations, including attempting to compromise the State’s security and instigate an armed insurrection, which were the reasons given for

my detention on 26/5/1962; and

Given that I am afraid that the investigation into me will be indefinitely extended, leaving me in prison with no recourse to be released; and

Given that I suffer from liver and intestinal disorders, in addition to rheumatism, and that my medical condition is getting worse as it is impossible to receive the required treatment in terms of medicine, food and exposure to light, sun and air; and

Given the services I have provided with honesty and dignity for the sake of my beloved country in all positions that I have assumed and at all times are enough to affirm that I am innocent of a crime, of which I was accused in 1956 despite the fact that it was not recognized by me or by anybody before 1962, bearing in mind how many times the Government has changed during these years,

I do submit this request, asking for my release and acknowledging that I will be present at any time I am summoned by any judicial authority that will fairly adjudicate my case.
